MarketsIntertie Schedule Modeling Evolution Initiative Workshop on 4/24/26
The California ISO will host a virtual workshop on Intertie Schedule Modeling Evolution Initiative on April 24, 2026, to continue stakeholder discussions and education on evaluating evolution in modeling of intertie schedules.
The workshop seeks to continue the discussions from the prior workshop on the long-term Generation Aggregation Points (GAP-Tie) modeling of intertie schedules on the CAISO balancing area interties and related topic areas suggested by stakeholders in comments. The workshop will review stakeholder comments, discuss showing and bidding of RA imports into the CAISO balancing area under the GAP-Tie design, review benchmarking of RTO/ISO practices in modeling external resource schedules/intertie schedules, and more holistically frame related scope of topics to this initiative.
The presentation and other meeting materials will be available prior to the workshop on the Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) initiative webpage. The workshop will be recorded and the video file will be posted after the meeting. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
Please submit comments regarding the stakeholder meeting by May 8, 2026, using the comment template on the webpage linked above.
