Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Readiness: Pre-Market Simulation Training

The training will provide an early understanding of the Washington State GHG implementation and help EDAM and WEIM market participants prepare for upcoming Market Simulation activities. The session will provide additional information on GHG-related changes, including committed capacity, intertie transactions, and energy transfers.

Who should attend?

This course is designed for EDAM and WEIM market participants, particularly entities impacted by the Washington State GHG changes. The intended audience includes policy staff, marketers responsible for submitting GHG bids, and staff responsible for resource modeling.

What topics will be covered?

This training will include the following topics:

• New GHG committed capacity feature 

• GHG treatment of intertie transactions 

• GHG treatment of energy transfers
