Market Simulation: Extended Day Ahead Market Enhancements 2026

The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) is holding a kick-off meeting for the Extended Day Ahead Market Enhancements 2026 Market Simulation. Market Simulation begins November 11, 2026, and runs through December 15, 2026. 

The Meeting will cover:

• Multiple Greenhouse Gas Regulation (GHG): New Structured scenario in the Real Time Market relevant to Western EIM and EDAM BAAs
• Updated Bill Determinants: Existing scenarios for Transmission Rights Congestion Hedge Validation, and Congestion Validation updated bill determinants validation for Settlements Statement posted for Trade Date August 25th
• Updated Transmission Interface Usage Report with Imbalance Reserve (IR) and Reliability Capacity (RC) contributions and new energy
