Price Formation Enhancements: Revised straw proposal posted, meetings on 7/13/26 and 7/14/26

The California ISO (ISO) has posted the Price Formation Enhancements revised straw proposal to the initiative webpage. The revised straw proposal addresses two topics: Balancing Authority Area (BAA)-level Market Power Mitigation and Scarcity Pricing Enhancements.

The ISO will hold two stakeholder meeting sessions to discuss the proposal. Session 1 will be held on July 13, 2026, and will focus on BAA-level Market Power Mitigation. Session 2 will be held on July 14, 2026, and will focus on Scarcity Pricing Enhancements. Written comments on the revised straw proposal are due by July 28, 2026.
